Rive - Build Your Own Salad

I created this fun salad builder to challenge myself in building more complex State Machines on Rive.

I keep the features simple as it's tough to build more advanced features on Rive.

Included features:

Top Menu - enable fast switching between item category

Next button - lights up to orange whenever user have made a selection

Max selection (Topping category) - activates after user selects 6 toppings

Deselect selection (Topping category) - activates after user selects 1 topping and will only work on the last selected item, based on the number order

Confirm option - User is asked to confirm their selection before proceeding to End screen

Back to Menu button - resets all selection and transitions back to the Start screen

Sound Effects - triggers when user clicks any button / selection / menu

BGM - plays after user clicks Start button

Here's the layout design I created on Adobe Illustrator before working on Rive 🖌️

📝 Extra note: The most difficult part is working on the Topping category in which I have to enable multiple selections while displaying the same items on the salad bowl in the same order as they are selected. It took a lot of problem solving, trial and error but I am very happy with the results! :)
