Brown Fox needed a website that could hold its own in the gaming and esports space, where audiences expect bold, immersive visuals rather than a standard corporate layout. The brand called for a distinct aesthetic direction, in this case a Japanese ink and samurai inspired theme, balanced with the functional needs of a champions roster, news, patch notes, and community pages.

Distinct visual direction. Rather than a generic gaming template, I built the identity around sumi-e ink brushwork, torii and pagoda silhouettes, and a bold red and black palette. A samurai character became the central hero visual, giving the brand a strong, memorable focal point instead of relying on stock gaming imagery.

Typography as atmosphere. Brush style display type pairs with Japanese script detailing along the page edges, reinforcing the theme without overwhelming the layout. The “Brown Fox” wordmark is treated as its own graphic element, rotated and placed beside the hero art rather than sitting in a standard header position.

Structured content within an expressive layout. Despite the heavy illustrative style, the site keeps a clear information hierarchy, Champions, News, Patch Notes, and Discover in the main navigation, with a prominent Contact Us action and quick access icons for social and account functions.

Torn paper and ink block sections. Content blocks like “Champions” and “About Us” are framed inside torn paper and ink brush shapes rather than standard cards, keeping the handcrafted, artistic feel consistent as the user scrolls.

Immersive closing scene. The page ends on a full width illustrated mountain and pagoda scene with a dragon and duelling samurai, turning the footer area into a visual payoff rather than a plain sign off section.

Brown Fox now has a website that feels like a crafted gaming universe rather than a templated esports page, with a strong, consistent visual identity carried from the hero section all the way through to the footer.
