Project Overview

“Our Story Begins With You” was an interactive GIC microsite that used games, illustrations and editorial content to introduce younger audiences to ideas surrounding Singapore’s future, national resilience and long-term decision-making.
The experience translated complex topics such as reserves management, risk and investment into approachable digital activities. Visitors could explore how personal values might influence the development of a city, take part in a resource-management game and read supporting stories about Singapore and Asia.

The Experience

Build Your Dream City

Users selected values such as compassion, courage, integrity and resilience to influence an illustrated city.
The experience used a modular isometric visual system made up of buildings, roads, parks, public facilities and transportation. These individual tiles were combined into a larger cityscape, representing how different values and decisions contribute to the development of a city.

Last Reserve

“Last Reserve” was the survival-game section introduced through the prompt, “Do you have what it takes to survive?”
Set after a fictional outbreak, the game placed players in charge of a colony of survivors. Across a series of episodes, players had to allocate people and resources to areas such as food, healthcare, defence, research and infrastructure.
Their decisions affected the colony’s progress, population and overall score. Scenario-based events and post-game insights connected the gameplay to broader themes of planning, resilience, risk management and making long-term decisions under uncertainty.
Players also received a personality archetype based on their decisions, such as the Captain, Explorer, Protector, Sage or Scientist.

My Contribution

This was a collaborative project completed during my internship.
I contributed to the production of selected isometric city tiles and visual assets, following the established illustration style and creative direction developed by the wider team.
I also assisted with the design and production of selected screens for the Last Reserve game, working within the existing interface system and overall game concept.
My involvement was limited to parts of the visual and interface production. The wider concept, strategy, art direction, user experience, website design and development were created collaboratively by the agency project team.
