Overview: Designed and developed a structured email journey for HPE partners, guiding new users from onboarding to platform adoption. The project evolved across two phases, an initial rollout using legacy branding and a redesigned version following a corporate rebrand.
Scope of Work
Designed and coded a multi-step email onboarding journey to improve partner activation and feature adoption.
Converted static designs into responsive HTML email templates optimized for Outlook and legacy email clients.
Re-structured the flow in the second phase to consolidate onboarding and welcome messaging for improved clarity and engagement.
Updated templates to align with HPE’s new branding guidelines while maintaining recognizability of the program.
Ensured compatibility across major email clients (Outlook, Gmail, mobile apps) and minimized rendering inconsistencies.
Applied accessibility and readability best practices within strict corporate typography and spacing rules.
Challenges
Working within extremely strict enterprise branding guidelines while still creating visually engaging layouts that avoid looking overly corporate or monotonous.
Designing emails that must function across outdated email clients (especially Outlook) where modern CSS support is limited.
Re-engineering the email journey after a mid-project brand refresh, updating visuals without breaking existing structure, recognition, or performance.
Consolidating onboarding content into fewer emails while preserving clarity and instructional value.
Maintaining visual hierarchy and scannability despite dense informational content required for enterprise users.
