Medical exam prep, redesigned around the next step

I redesigned PyrexiaMed across its public website, student experience, and administration screens. The aim was to make a broad learning platform easier to understand: start a trial, find a question block, resume revision, or join a timed competition.
My focus: UI/UX direction, information hierarchy, responsive screen design, reusable interface patterns, and high-fidelity prototyping with Claude.

A clearer first impression

The landing page introduces the product through a question preview and one primary trial action. Study tools, live leagues, face-offs, and progress features follow a consistent visual hierarchy.
Website concept: a focused headline, clear trial action, and a preview of the question experience. Prototype content.

Make returning to study feel straightforward

The student dashboard brings the next event, unfinished practice, due flashcards, and recent progress into one place. Subject and topic navigation uses a consistent tile system, while progress bars and a visible Resume action keep the next task clear.
Desktop gives charts and supporting information more room. Mobile prioritizes the current task, stacked cards, large answer targets, and familiar bottom navigation.
Original desktop prototype: practice continuity, upcoming events, progress, and rankings. Names and statistics are illustrative design content.

Calm revision. Focused competition.

A warm paper palette supports browsing, practice, and administration. Timed quizzes and duels switch to a dark interface that gives the question, countdown, and answer state priority. Green marks the primary action; orange signals urgency and competitive activity.
Bricolage Grotesque provides the display hierarchy, Geist supports reading, and Geist Mono keeps timers and ranks consistent. Answer feedback combines text and state styling so it can be understood beyond colour alone.
Selected mobile concepts: resume practice, browse subjects, and enter a face-off. Presentation mockups composed from the prototype screens; sample content.

Keep the question at the centre

The live quiz layout gives the countdown, round progress, question, and answer options a clear reading order. The wider design exploration also covers lobbies, results, review, empty states, loading, and recovery screens.

A consistent system across the product

The redesign extends the same typography, controls, status labels, and navigation principles into quiz management and question authoring. The deliverables are high-fidelity website, student, competition, and admin concepts, with shared visual rules for the next stage of implementation.
Project status: Claude-assisted UI/UX design exploration and browser-based prototypes. Names, dates, prices, and statistics shown are sample or placeholder content. Usability testing, production implementation, and conversion or learning outcomes have not been validated for this redesign.

UI/UX design exploration for medical exam prep, with a shared visual system across the website, student dashboard, mobile study, and live quizzes.
