Introduction

Our task was to create an engaging and immersive website for a rising perfume brand. The goal was to craft a digital platform that enhances the customer journey, from discovery to purchase.

Research & Pain Point Identification

Through surveys, market research, and competitor analysis, we identified three primary pain points:
Lack of Sensory Experience: Perfumes are inherently about the senses, and online platforms often struggle to convey these sensory experiences.
Complex Purchase Path: Many users found the process of finding and purchasing products to be cumbersome on existing perfume websites.
Limited Product Knowledge: Customers often felt they didn’t have enough information to make informed decisions.

Design Solutions

Our design approach aimed to address these concerns:
Sensory Experience: To compensate for the lack of physical sensory interaction, we designed the website to evoke feelings and sensations through vivid descriptions, high-quality images, and colour psychology.
Simplified Navigation: We simplified the user journey from browsing to checkout with an intuitive, streamlined design that guides users step by step.
Educational Content: We provided detailed product descriptions, ingredient insights, and scent profiles. A 'Perfume 101' section was added to educate customers about different scent families and how to choose a perfume.
