Kezako sells design the way you'd pay for a phone plan. One monthly fee, as many requests as you need, pause or cancel whenever you like. It's built for startups that can't justify a full-time designer and don't want an agency's invoice. Arthur Lambert runs the design side. He'd already designed the whole site in Figma and needed someone to build it.
Selling design to people who are buying design is a hard room. The site can't only describe the work — it has to be the work. Arthur's design leaned on movement throughout: elements that shift as you scroll, cards that react on hover, transitions as you move between pages. That's fast to draw in Figma and slow to build properly. If it stutters, a studio that sells craft looks like it can't deliver craft.
The build
Most of my time went into those small movements, and into getting them to run the same on a phone as on Arthur's laptop.
One piece took longer than all the others: the lightning. Every other animation in the design behaved once I understood what Arthur was after. The lightning kept coming out approximately right, which is worse than plainly wrong — you can see it's off without being able to say why. I rebuilt it a few times before it moved the way he'd drawn it.
The works section runs on Webflow's CMS. When Arthur finishes a client project, he writes it up and publishes it himself, without waiting on a developer.
Where it landed
In the first few months after launch, the site brought Arthur 15+ leads and two clients on permanent subscriptions.
