Pletor is a Paris startup that lets marketing teams produce their own ads, product images and campaign videos with AI — not by prompting a chatbot, but by building repeatable pipelines around their own brand rules. They'd closed a seed round and shipped the product. The site needed to match that: less prompt box, more production system.
Quentin Chuzeville, Pletor's product and design lead, had the design fully worked out in Figma. It was ambitious — glassmorphic panels, layered product imagery, a hero built to feel like an infinite canvas, video running behind whole sections. Every one of those things is expensive to load. My job was to build it exactly as designed and still have it work on a phone.

The build
I built the page as reusable pieces rather than one long layout. The four use-case blocks, the testimonial wall and the FAQ all run on the CMS, so Quentin's team can add a new use case or swap a testimonial themselves without a developer touching anything.
Background video is served from a CDN instead of through Webflow, and the repeated graphics in the hero load once rather than being re-fetched every time they appear. Both decisions were made before I built a single section, because they're painful to retrofit.
The three product videos were the piece I owned outright. Quentin's design called for showing the product working, section by section, and the obvious way to do that is to record the app — which produces files far too heavy for a page already carrying this much. So I animated all three in Jitter from his storyboard instead. Lighter files, and full control over pacing.
Where it landed
We shipped heavy on purpose, then ran a planned optimisation round with Sophie Jean-Paul, who audited the homepage and its assets. Compression, GSAP cleanup, mobile fixes. Lighthouse scores improved sharply afterwards, mobile most of all.
Pletor now publish new use cases and testimonials themselves. And we're still working together, adding pages to the site as the product grows.

Webflow build and motion design for Pletor, a Paris AI startup. A heavy, video-rich design made to load fast on mobile — and editable by their own team.
