G* platform is a complete management platform built for busy tour operators who want to generate more direct bookings, without all the technical troubles.

In this project, I was asked to adapt over the course of the engagement to provide relevant work based on the specific tasks.

Designing Product Import in the Platform

I designed an Automated Product Import Functionality for G* Platform. The goal was to allow customers to easily import their products from other platforms like Tripadvisor and Fareharbor, reducing the time and effort required to migrate content to our platform and get customers online faster. The acceptance criteria included developing functionality within G* Platform that allows users to add a URL for a Tripadvisor profile page, a Tripadvisor product page, a Fareharbor product, or a Fareharbor flow URL. The system should create a product, or multiple products, using the information from the URL. Users should be able to specify the status of the products as either active or not active and edit the automatically generated titles from Tripadvisor or Fareharbor.

Designing review(view & mgmt) experience in the platform

Review Management Experience on G* Platform is for business owners to monitor and manage their reviews. The value proposition was to enable users to see the reviews they are getting for their business on the platform so that they can identify trends, select which ones to showcase on their website review widget, and improve their customer experience. The acceptance criteria included allowing users to select platforms to pull from, aggregating all reviews on a single page in the platform dashboard, showing trends over time, filtering by platform, displaying the average score over time, enabling users to read individual reviews, allowing them to enable/disable a review widget on their website, and configuring the widget to show all reviews or filtered reviews by 4+ stars or 5 stars only.

Platform Dashboard Update

I updated the platform dashboard to be more "self-serve" and productive for users, as well as a design system to be expandable for future needs. The primary updates included moving away from the current "states" of the dashboard, which include tasks for each state, to a "feed-based" homepage. The feed will have various cards closely related to the states and their related tasks. The new pattern of the homepage will also include a dynamic notification component at the top, a pastel progress component, and eventually overview analytics that link to the actual analytics section. The new pattern of the platform dashboard will also result in an expanded sidebar to provide users with easier access to create products or categories without a "task" as a path. These updates aim to improve user experience and allow for more flexibility in the design system for future needs.

Pastel Card Update

The objective was to redesign the home page dashboard of G* Platform so that users can more easily understand the Pastel process and what they need to do to get their site live. The current home page dashboard of G* Platform shows users a few tasks they need to complete to get their site live. However, the process of reviewing and adding products is not necessarily a one-time activity, and users may need to revisit these sections. The goal is to improve the user's understanding of the Pastel process and set their expectations for what will happen after they complete these tasks.

Acceptance Criteria: Redesign the home page dashboard to provide a clear understanding of the Pastel process to the user, making it easier for them to understand what they need to do to get their site live.

Designing a Media Uploader/Library for the G* platform to allow users to reuse previously uploaded images.

Value proposition: Enhance the user experience by allowing them to access, delete, and reuse uploaded images, preventing the need for re-uploading images for multiple uses.

Acceptance criteria: Allow users to upload multiple images at once, select multiple images, and inform them if an image is being utilized before deleting it. Include a gallery tab for easy image access and an option to "Browse Gallery" when uploading tour images.

Designing review widget

Design a review section to be displayed on our customer's websites. The review section should include the review text, date, name/picture of the reviewer, stars associated with the review, and the platform where the review was left. This will help visitors know that others have enjoyed the tours, increasing trust in our customer's websites.

Break out Inquiry Form Results into Separate Section

In this task, the goal was to create a separate section in the G* platform for managing all inquiries received through inquiry forms on product pages. The new section needed to be accessible through the navigation panel and titled "Leads". It should display the customer's first name, last name, email address, the product associated with the inquiry, inquiry copy, selected date range, and the date and time of submission. The purpose of this change was to make it easier for users to manage their inquiries and use them effectively.

Designing Rental Product Page

The task involved designing a product page for G* website template to showcase and sell rentals. The new product page will contain many components from day & multi-day trips, such as description, gallery, booking action, highlights, tour info, inclusions & exclusions, FAQs, and things to know. Additionally, the product page will showcase new information such as product details, pickup or drop off, packages, time interval discounts, requirements, and type. The design should also feature similar tours card to showcase other rentals the visitor may be interested in.
