modui is a design library

modui is a design library and platform I built from scratch. Most UI kits look alike because they start from the same few styles; modui goes the other way. Every kit is a style of its own (glass, clay, brutal, skeuomorphic, flat, aurora, glitch and more), and every component is finished down to its last state: hover, focus, pressed, disabled, loading.

Around the kits sits everything that makes a page feel designed, all made to work together: • 630+ UI kits • 70+ full layouts and 170+ animated heroes • 400 fonts, including our own cuts of open fonts • 110+ text animations and 100 motion and shader effects • 45 type systems and headline compositions

Everything can be tried live in the browser before download, and comes as HTML, CSS, React + TypeScript, Tailwind or design tokens.

modui also has its own MCP server. Connect it to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code or Codex and your AI editor can search the library, pull a kit, font or effect straight into your project, and build with that kit's own tokens instead of guessing colours, radius, shadows and fonts. Nothing to install.
