Nigeria has a fast-growing population of over 220 million people, and the burden of unemployment has been prevalent over time. The country’s labour force was predicted to increase to over 67 million in 2022, and there is a need to ensure that employment is readily available as more citizens enter the job market. SUPA is a training platform whose target is to up-skill and empower over 10 million artisans across Nigeria.
My Role
As the lead UI/UX Designer for SUPA. I focused on creating an intuitive and accessible platform that connects tens of thousands of youths and artisans to valuable learning resources. My role encompassed user research, wireframing, prototyping and visual design, ensuring the platform effectively addressed the diverse needs of its users.
Key Features
Responsivity: I designed the interface layout of the website to be adaptive across different screen sizes to aid great experience for most users regardless the device being used.
Accessibility: While designing, I ensured my design was in line with WCAG guidelines. Typefaces had a great contrast ratio, and the use of colours was balanced to aid accessibility.
Multiple Pages: Alongside the homepage, I designed the About page, the contact page and the Marketplace page
The Outcome
I delivered a website that significantly enhanced access to training information, eased the registration process and improved user engagement. The platform supports tens of thousands of users in upskilling and achieving their learning objectives.
