Type: Design exploration / homepage concept for a brief. Not a client build.
The brief
Nation is a platform idea: AI builds a store for first-time sellers and handles the busywork, while the seller makes the calls that matter. The brief asked for a homepage that makes starting a small business feel possible and human, not technical.
What we did
We designed and prototyped two homepage directions in Lovable to explore tone, structure and storytelling.
Direction 1, "A little business. A bigger life." (https://nation-homepage.lovable.app). A warm, plain-language page that walks from "the old way" (a store is not a business on its own) to "a new way in" (one prompt, AI does the busywork), with an illustrative seller story.
Direction 2, "A living of your own." (https://nation-v2-launchpad.lovable.app). A more editorial, chaptered narrative: the beginning, why a storefront alone is not enough, one prompt to a store, and a step-by-step illustrative seller journey.
Design choices
Short, confident headlines in everyday language for first-timers and side hustlers
Numbered chapters to guide the reader through one clear story
An illustrative seller example to show the outcome, clearly labelled on the page as fictional, with example figures only
Clear primary call to action repeated through the page
Honest scope
This is concept work for a brief: two clickable homepage explorations. We did not build the Nation product, and the seller story and figures on the pages are illustrative, as each page states.
