LATAM Airlines is one of the largest airlines in Latin America, recognized worldwide for its innovation in flight experiences, service quality, and strong presence in the aviation industry.
Together with the design team at Wunderman, I take on the challenge of creating an activation for the TAM Museum to celebrate Children’s Day. The goal is to combine nostalgia, education, and live interaction at the airport, enchanting passengers, especially children, by presenting aviation history in a playful and memorable way.
We come up with the idea of transforming the baggage carts, a familiar object in airports, into replicas of historic aircraft. This turns aviation history into a fun and educational experience, bringing iconic planes to life in a way children can interact with and enjoy.
I participated from the very beginning of the project with Wunderman’s creative team. I was responsible for the 3D modeling of the miniature planes (historic replicas), art direction to ensure aesthetic fidelity, scale, and visual harmony, as well as 3D rendering for the mockups that later became real installations at the airport.

3D Modeling
We developed digital miniature versions of the historic aircraft, making them available for visualization on the website and digital materials, while also preparing the models to become physical installations. Each historic plane was modeled with attention to detail — shapes, windows, painting — to evoke authenticity and spark children’s curiosity.
We modeled replicas of the 14-Bis, Supermarine Spitfire MK9, Gloster Meteor F8, Vought F4U Corsair, and Flea Ship to represent different moments in aviation history and enrich the visual experience

The physical replicas allowed direct interaction at the airport: children could climb, play, touch, and engage with the cart-planes. The website complemented this with an immersive view, showcasing the miniature planes through realistic 3D renders, allowing children to explore them virtually. The combination of physical + digital reinforced both learning and enchantment.
The campaign gained visibility in major media outlets such as G1, Veja SP, and advertising-focused websites, generating public interest and organic media coverage. It also stood out as an example of how 3D models and mockups can be used to activate real-life experiences, not just digital ones, amplifying LATAM’s brand awareness and creating positive memories for younger passengers.
I also contributed to the creation of digital and graphic materials for in-flight magazines, social media content, the official website, and onboard media screens, reinforcing the campaign’s presence across multiple touchpoints.
The project combined design, technology, and brand experience to turn aviation into something playful and memorable. By uniting 3D modeling with both physical and digital activations, we created an initiative that engaged children, delighted families, and reinforced LATAM’s emotional connection with its passengers —showing how creativity and innovation can bring aviation history closer to the public in a fun and impactful way.
