Super Atlas - 3D Mascot
This project involved the full development process of a 3D mascot, including 2D concept design, 3D modeling, texturing, shader creation, lighting, and final rendering.
2D Concept
For their new communication strategy, they wanted a mascot that could embody the values of strength, protection, and kindness. Especially in campaigns targeting children and teenagers. A superhero figure proved to be the perfect fit to represent these values and bring the brand closer to younger audiences in a friendly and inspiring way.
Character Turntable
The decision to go with a 3D model wasn’t just about looks: it allowed for a versatile character ready for 3D printing and use across various media.
In addition to the physical version, we delivered ultra high-resolution renders (20K) for use in billboards and print materials, along with custom formats for stories and direct brand communications. With this 360° asset, the client now has full flexibility to use the mascot across online and offline campaigns in a creative and consistent way.
As part of the project, I also created reveal animations for the character’s shield, designed to be used in presentations and promotional videos.
The shield was chosen as a central element because Super Atlas represents the superhero of protection. A figure of strength and safety. To reinforce this image in physical spaces, we also explored cardboard shield mockups to be distributed to children at retail locations, turning the mascot into a tangible and playful brand experience.
In addition, I developed the brand's traditional logo to be used in video intros and outros. The goal was to give the logo a clean, timeless presence that could adapt well across both digital and print media, maintaining brand consistency while complementing the superhero identity of the mascot.
