Kinetic Typography Animation

The client provided a list of words and a pre-selected font, along with clear guidelines:

The focus had to be exclusively on the text—no geometric elements unless functionally necessary

The color palette was strictly black and white

The animation needed to emphasize the rhythm and meaning of the words, without unnecessary effects

The project was commissioned by a marketing agency as part of a larger campaign, and I worked as part of a team.

This was one of those projects I truly enjoyed crafting—thinking deeply about how to animate each new word.

My first step was to arrange the words in a logical sequence so that the flow of the animation made sense

I avoided abrupt shifts from long to very short words unless the message demanded it

In a few transitions, I introduced simple geometric shapes to help guide the motion

My responsibilities included:

Sound design suggestions (for example, shortening certain audio effects to make the motion feel snappier)

I had strong support from an experienced sound designer who created custom audio elements to match the movement of each word.

The project took around two months, mostly due to the need for precise sync between motion and sound

There were multiple rounds of edits, especially involving the order of the words and which words should be black or white

Despite using only two colors, the level of complexity was surprisingly high due to the need for visual contrast and flow

The project was completed successfully, with very positive feedback from both the client and the team. It was a great exercise in balancing minimalism with dynamic motion, and showed how even the smallest design decisions can have a big impact.
