Since 2019, I have been the lead designer for the covers of STREMEZ Magazine, a biannual publication that focuses on literature, culture, and art. The content primarily includes short stories and poems.
Creative Process
I work closely with the editor to develop a cohesive visual identity for each issue. The base background color for each cover is a soft green, paired with a dark green title, reflecting a consistent theme throughout the years. Each cover is crafted using hand-drawn illustrations, sometimes combined with images of real objects or integrated into the typography of the magazine’s title.
Design Philosophy
The designs aim to visually capture the spirit of "Stremez," which in Macedonian means "aspiration" or "striving," aligning with the magazine’s mission to promote literary and artistic excellence. This project highlights a blend of traditional and modern design techniques to create visually striking and meaningful covers for each edition.
Impact
The consistent and thoughtful design of each cover has helped to establish STREMEZ Magazine's brand identity, making it recognizable and appealing to its audience.
