For HOOPS, a basketball brand that embodies the raw energy of street ball, I created a website that brings the courts to the screen. This project was all about capturing the grit, style, and passion of urban basketball culture.
The design revolves around a sleek dark mode, providing a canvas that makes the vibrant elements pop. Orange accents, reminiscent of a classic basketball, guide the user's eye through the site, highlighting key information and call-to-action buttons.
One of the standout features is the use of custom graffiti-style illustrations. These hand-drawn elements add an authentic street vibe to the site, showcasing basketball players in dynamic poses, urban landscapes, and stylized typography. The illustrations are strategically placed throughout the site, bringing energy to product pages and adding character to the brand story sections.
The homepage features a product section with a parallax scrolling effect, creating depth and movement as users navigate. This mimics the dynamic nature of a basketball game, immediately immersing visitors in the HOOPS world.
Product pages are designed with a gallery-like approach, allowing the basketball gear to stand out against the dark background. Each product is showcased with high-quality images and animated hover effects, giving users a detailed view of the items.
I implemented subtle animations throughout the site, such as a basketball that bounces and transforms into the menu icon, adding playful touches that reinforce the brand's identity.
