Indomaret Poinku is a mobile customer loyalty app for Indomaret (Indonesian convinience store) customer. Up until now, Indomaret Poinku has gained over more than 10 million new users with around 900K monthly active users.

Challenge, Approach, Outcome

Challenge: To migrate & improve the old problematic app into a new app with a whole better experience.
Approach: Identifying the real problem for the mobile experience and fix it with major key user journey improvement.
Outcome: A mobile app with better visual & experience. All these changes gain positive impact.

Challenge: The Old Application

User troubled to explore and use the old app properly because it has multiple inconsistent flows. Hard to access main feature. The old app put too much steps for the user to find the main feature CTA. The old app cannot be furtherly developed because some features is overlapping with each other. In the new app, we need to make every promotion fairly explained and make their experience with Indomaret more valuable.
Make the looks more modular so it have much more space for further development.

Outcome: New Easy-to-Use Design

Here are some improvements I made:
Easy to navigate homescreen to make it easier for the user to explore our services and on-going promotions.
Easy to access main feature (point & stamp exchange) only just one tap from homescreen widget.
Self explanatory coupon details to make every coupon transaction more fair & valuable.
Enticing benefit tracking for day-to-day transaction access from membership tier page.
Modular section design for future content development.
