Grindrift is a bold, performance-driven skateboarding brand built for riders who push limits and ride with intent. The goal of this project was to create a high-energy, conversion-focused ecommerce website that reflects the raw spirit of skate culture while still delivering a smooth, intuitive shopping experience.
I was responsible for the entire website design from start to finish, including:

Skate brands require a very different approach than traditional ecommerce.
During discovery, I focused on:
Skateboarding culture and visual language
How action sports brands build authenticity
Ecommerce behavior of younger, mobile-first audiences
Balancing raw energy with usability and trust
📌 Key Insight: Skate audiences respond to movement, attitude, and authenticity — but still expect fast access to products and pricing.

🧩 UX Strategy & Information Architecture

The website was structured around story → product → conversion.

UX Decisions:

Bold hero section with motion-focused visuals
Strong headline messaging for immediate impact
Clear CTA placement without overloading the page

Strategic spacing to keep the layout breathable
Every scroll was intentional — designed to pull the user forward rather than overwhelm them.

Conversion Rate Optimization was deeply integrated into the design.

CRO Techniques Implemented:
