Designing Identity for a Purpose Driven Community

Brand guidelines that create clarity, unity, and empowerment across all BFL chapters.

Idea

Black Future Lawyers needed a consistent visual identity that could unify its growing chapters. Without structure around color, typography, tone, and layout, communications risked feeling disconnected and less impactful. This lack of cohesion made it harder for students to recognize the brand and trust the message.

Insight

I developed brand guidelines that translate BFL’s values into a clear visual language. The system organizes color palettes, type hierarchies, tone, and graphic elements into a toolkit that any chapter can use. The branding forms a foundation for storytelling, giving every piece of content a consistent feel that is organized, empowering, and aligned with the mission of supporting Black students on their path to law school.
