Nordi wanted a brand identity that reflected its values of transparency, simplicity, and trust. They emphasized a desire for bold, clean, and minimalist design, avoiding overly produced visuals or photos of pets. The brand needed to communicate directly with clear, impactful messaging and playful elements. To connect with their audience, Nordi sought vibrant colors inspired by Icelandic landscapes and fun, doodle-style illustrations of pets to add a friendly, approachable tone. The overall goal was to build a modern brand that pet owners can trust and relate to.

Nordi was designed to be bold, clean, and approachable—just like the brand itself. I started with the colors, drawing directly from Icelandic culture. Icelandic Blue anchors the palette, representing purity and trust, while accents like Swedish Yellow and Denmark Red add vibrancy and energy to the design. 

For the logo, I wanted something simple but full of character. The custom "N" features a pet-ear detail, a subtle nod to the brand’s dedication to pets. The typography is bold and clear, making the brand message impossible to miss while staying modern and approachable.

The illustrations were crafted in a doodle style to bring personality and playfulness to the brand. I chose relatable, breeds like the Beagle, Golden Retriever, Havanese, Persian Cat, and Regular Cat to appeal to a wide audience while keeping the tone light and fun. These elements add warmth without cluttering the minimalist design.

The big, bold text delivers the "no bullshit" message in a straightforward way, while the clean layout ensures the design feels professional and easy to navigate. The result is a brand that is modern, confident, and honest—exactly what Nordi stands for.
