I became part of the top 1% on Contra. But the truth is: I got addicted to the platform. Why? Because it was brilliantly designed with strategy in mind. With every step forward, the platform celebrates with you. That feeling of moving forward is hard to resist. Constant progress is addictive. Many of my clients frown when I mention “gamification” in our product strategy discussions. But here’s the thing, if your goal is to increase user engagement, few things are as effective as the visceral feeling of winning. At the end of the day, we’re all human. We have egos.
