For the Contra x Envato Challenge, 'Human by Design', we built a brand identity and animated a promo video for 'Olo', an accessible crypto-trading platform. To us, the core of this challenge wasn't about creating more content with AI, but about maintaining one clear creative direction. When drawing from a massive library of separate AI generations, stock footage, fonts, and music, a project can easily turn into a disjointed visual mess. Envato served as our entire toolkit - from AI-generated audio and assets to stock templates and typography. But every asset still had to answer one crucial question: 'Does this truly feel like Olo'? Guided by the brand promise of making crypto trading accessible for everyone, everywhere, human instinct drove the entire creative process: 1. Curating over generating: Rejecting raw AI outputs that felt flat or out of context and ruthlessly filtering for what actually worked. 2. Building a visual identity: Applying custom effects to transform generic stock footage into a unified aesthetic. 3. Directing the flow: Motion design, precise typography, and timing every single movement to the rhythm of the music in After Effects. Envato Stock and AI tools dramatically accelerate the build process, but it’s the human creator who infuses the soul. It provides the ingredients, but art direction, taste, and instinct define the quality of the final result. Toolkit: Envato (Envato AI, Stock, Fonts, Audio) + After Effects & Adobe Illustrator.

AN ODE TO IMPERFECTIONS - Making Of I wanted to create something that felt... human. A film that celebrates the little imperfections that make us who we are. So here's how I made it. First came the idea.I spent time thinking, sketching, and exploring different directions before landing on a simple thought:Our imperfections aren't flaws—they're our fingerprint. Once the concept felt right, I built a visual moodboard.I collected references, explored color, cinematography, typography, and pacing until the film had a clear emotional direction. Then came the script. Every line was rewritten multiple times until it sounded less like advertising and more like a quiet observation.Next, I generated the voiceover using Envato's AI Voice Generator, aiming for a natural, understated performance that let the words breathe. Music was just as important. Instead of an epic trailer score, I searched through Envato's massive audio library and chose a minimal classical piano piece that complemented the emotion without overpowering it. Then came my favorite part. I explored Envato's Video and Effects libraries, searching through hundreds of clips to build a visual story—finding moments that felt authentic, textured, and unmistakably human. With everything ready, I moved into Adobe Premiere Pro. This is where the film truly came to life. Editing. Timing. Rhythm. Matching visuals to the voice and music. Shaping emotion frame by frame. To finish it, I added subtle transition overlays, cinematic LUTs, and a touch of film grain from Envato to give everything a cohesive, tactile feel. And that's it. From a simple idea...to a finished film. Because AI can generate possibilities- but it's still the human choices that shape the story. Human by Design.

Cover image for MINITEL DU SUD — La
MINITEL DU SUD — La légende se reconnecte 🖥️📞 The idea: what if France's heritage sportswear house revived the Minitel — the terminal that connected millions of French homes from 1982 to 2012 — the way a maison reissues an archive icon? Making it real: a numbered edition of 50, hand-restored in Marseille, with a full campaign world, a working storefront, and a soundtrack — built end-to-end on Squarespace 7.1 / Fluid Engine. How Finish Layer made it real: Font Uploads — a custom pixel typeface as the "machine voice": title, ticker, teletext annotations. No code injection. Block layering — the serif headline interrupted by the machine; the campaign broadcasting inside the terminal's screen, video layered under the frame. Pinned hero text — the composition holds through the scroll. Block Animations — hover reveals hide edition serials behind the campaign cards (N° 07/50 — RÉSERVÉ). Block Hiding (Mobile) — desktop gets the theater; mobile gets a streamlined vertical flow. Beyond the layout: a fully functional storefront built with real commerce settings — 50 units in inventory, limit 1 per order, so the scarcity story is enforced by the system, not just the copy. (Concept project: nothing ships, no payments are processed — the store demonstrates the commerce build.) Plus an original French-electronic track — the hold music of 1990, composed for the terminals — closing with a scroll-scaled banner: « MONTE LE SON. » Toolkit: Midjourney (campaign imagery, locked style refs) · Departure Mono by Helena Zhang (SIL OFL) · Suno (soundtrack) · SquareKicker (window reveal, horizontal scroll, scroll-scale banner) 🔗 minitel-contra.squarespace.com (http://minitel-contra.squarespace.com) — password: 3615 (the dial code, of course) Projet conceptuel — not affiliated with Orange S.A. Minitel is a trademark of its respective owner. #squarespacechallenge
