I don’t really think of websites as brochures. I think of them as systems. Your site should help someone understand what you do, trust you, take the next step, and route that action somewhere useful—whether that’s an inquiry, booking, quote request, purchase, application, or internal workflow. That’s what I build: websites with structure behind them. Recent work has included interactive resource platforms, service-area systems, intake flows, admin tools, and content-heavy websites designed to stay usable as they grow. Open for select web and product projects.

Contexa — Message Analysis & Timeline Concept Contexa is a product concept for turning scattered messages into a searchable, traceable account of what happened. Long conversation histories are difficult to review across dates, topics, and participants. Important statements become buried, and isolated screenshots can lose the context needed to understand them. I designed Contexa around a workflow for organizing communications, locating relevant exchanges, and connecting timeline entries to their original source messages. The interface explores chronological navigation, topic filtering, and side-by-side review so users can move between an overview and the underlying conversation. The central design challenge is making complex records easier to understand while preserving uncertainty, surrounding context, and the distinction between a direct quotation and an interpretation. Status: Independent product concept.

Clear Home Payment

Clear Home Payment is a free educational calculator website designed to help home buyers understand the real monthly cost of buying a home before they make a purchase decision. The project focuses on clarity, trust, and practical budgeting. Instead of showing only principal and interest, the calculator helps users estimate a more complete monthly payment by including property taxes, homeowners insurance, HOA fees, PMI, closing costs, and estimated cash needed to close. I worked on the product structure, interface, calculator experience, responsive layout, SEO-focused content architecture, and deployment-ready web implementation. The site includes a main home payment calculator, a reverse affordability calculator that starts from a target monthly payment, Texas-focused calculator pages, educational explanations, and clear disclaimers to avoid misleading financial claims. The goal was to create a calm, useful, and accessible tool for home buyers who want to compare scenarios, test assumptions, and better understand the moving parts behind a mortgage payment.

The story of why I rebuilt the homepage for my portfolio blog site.

In 2013, I designed this logo for a client using just the pen tool in Adobe Illustrator. This was created long before AI tools could generate a logo via prompt! 🧙 The client loved this logo so much, they didn't have any revision requests and it's still in use to this day over ten years later. It works on the web and in print, too! I'm more of a full-stack software engineer, but I'm a musician/artist with an eye for design and I'm proficient with the Adobe Creative Suite.

Custom E-Commerce Site built with Sanity backend and Astro frontend. Site was originally built in WordPress using a custom theme and plugin that I developed but back in June I did a 1:1 migration and rebuilt the exact same design using Sanity for backend to replace WordPress dashboard and Astro/CloudFlare Pages replaced the dedicated VM on google cloud. Read the case study here: https://coffey.codes/case-study/wordpress-to-serverless-headless-commerce
