A personal essay exploring our relationship with technology, distraction, and the difficulty of being truly present. What begins as an observation about people using their phones during dinner becomes a deeper reflection on how we use distraction to avoid uncomfortable emotions, boredom, loneliness, and self-awareness. The piece follows my own experience of breaking that pattern and learning to become more present in everyday moments. This work demonstrates my ability to combine personal storytelling, observation, vulnerability, and reflection to create relatable long-form content with a clear narrative and takeaway.

This customer experience essay explores how small moments of customer service can have a lasting impact on customer loyalty. Drawing from a personal retail experience, I examine the importance of acknowledgment, employee engagement, and making customers feel valued. The piece demonstrates my ability to turn real-world customer experiences into engaging, insight-driven content for brands and businesses.

A personal essay about starting over after losing my job, rediscovering my interests, and learning to trust my own instincts through the surprisingly humbling process of baking bread. What began as an experiment with new hobbies became a lesson in self-discovery, persistence, and letting go of the need for outside validation. This piece combines personal storytelling, humor, and reflection to explore what happens when we stop trying to make our lives impressive to other people and start figuring out what genuinely makes us happy.

I've been working to design advertisements within a course. Some use traditional design methods via Photoshop, others are teaching how to use AI ethically to combine with the traditional methods. These are 2 amongst an entire portfolio that I've created.

I was recently certified on DaVinci Resolve as Colorist. I was never fully pleased with the job on my past projects as a director, not fully understanding the vocabulary to use to get my exact image right. I speak the language of an artist, which makes me perfect for a filmmaker that doesn't know the language of DaVinci Resolve but wants a beautiful image.

Film Direction is a skill I learned when I studied for my first Master's of Arts in 2016. Over the years, it is a skill I have continued to grow and consider filmmaking more of a calling than a career. It is something I genuinely enjoy.
