ClearVPN Redesign: From Complex Shortcuts to One-Button VPN ClearVPN is a cross-platform VPN product by MacPaw designed to make online privacy simple for everyday users. As a Product Designer, I helped simplify the experience through research, product metrics, usability testing, and business insights. Instead of a full redesign at once, we worked in small iterations to protect conversion while improving clarity. We moved the product from a feature-heavy interface to a simpler VPN experience focused on one-click activation, clear connection status, smarter country selection, speed indicators, and optimal location recommendations. Impact +10–20% conversion increase across mobile and desktop +20–32% retention increase across redesign iterations +10–18% monthly revenue growth 50% less time needed to find and activate features 80+ user interviews, 30+ surveys, 5 usability tests This project shows how I connect product design with research, strategy, and business metrics — not just UI execution.
