'A quieter approach to destination design' is a nice way to put it, feels like a deliberate move away from the loud hero-video tourism sites everyone defaults to. Was that restraint a client ask, or something you had to convince them to go along with?
Yeah, exactly @Diego Sánchez! This was actually a self-initiated project, so we had complete creative freedom. The restraint was intentional from the start, we wanted the place and its stories to do the talking rather than relying on the usual big, loud tourism approach. Really glad that came through!
Self-initiated makes the restraint even more impressive honestly, it's usually the client-driven projects that end up loud because someone on the team pushes for more. Now that it's out in the world, has anyone from the actual county or local businesses reached out about it?
Not yet! We only put it out pretty recently, so no one local has reached out yet. But that would honestly be a pretty cool outcome, would love to see the concept spark a conversation with a real destination or local tourism team!
