Haitian Creole → English Document Translation
I translated a Haitian birth certificate from Haitian Creole into English, preserving the original document's meaning, structure, and key information while using clear and natural English terminology.

I created a lettering system where every letterform represents one of the things designers routinely hear from clients.

Don't want to jinx it ,but so far my clients have had reasonable comments, and often brings in a new perspective, that in the end strengthened the concept.
apparently in 1994, David Carson was art directing an issue of Ray Gun magazine. he found one of the interviews he was designing for (with Bryan Ferry) so boring, that he typeset the entire thing in Zapf Dingbats.
if you're not familiar, Zapf Dingbats is an iconographic font with no legible letters.
one of my favourite quotes is from Carson, about this piece: "Don't mistake legibility for communication."

What does overthinking actually look like as a letterform?
I built a display letterset called OVERTHINK where every character looks like it was written in a hurry, crossed out, and written again.
thinking too much never looks clean:
Loops that don't close
Strokes that double back
Letters that can't leave themselves alone What's a feeling you'd turn into a typeface/letterset? and what would it look like?
i wonder what true serenity would look like as a typeface. something makes me imagine a lolling sort of cursive, easy on the edges.
