This is frustration, and I want all the designers and their real thoughts on it.
AI has made designing ridiculously fast. Earlier, making 3 concepts took enough effort that you eventually picked one and moved on. Now I can make 3, 10, 20 and still think, “but what if #21 cooks?”
AI made creating options almost free. I think it accidentally made choosing one much harder.
And the scary part? Clients know another concept is almost free too.
Are we actually designing faster, or just rejecting more things faster?
