Project Title: Automated Digital Inventory Stocktaking System
The Challenge: Traditional stocktaking processes are often prone to manual errors, excessive paperwork, and delayed reporting. As an Internal Auditor, I identified the need for a more robust, real-time solution to manage inventory accuracy across multiple warehouse locations.
My Solution: I designed and deployed a custom digital inventory stocktaking application to modernize the audit workflow. Key features include:
Mobile-First Data Entry: Replaced paper-based counts with an intuitive mobile interface, enabling instant validation and eliminating data entry lag.
Real-Time Variance Analysis: Integrated the system with SAP data to automatically calculate variances between physical counts and system records, flagging discrepancies immediately.
Centralized Dashboards: Developed a live "Count Progress" dashboard that allows management to track audit completion across all warehouse locations at a glance.
The Impact: By leveraging Python and Google Apps Script, this project transformed a time-consuming manual process into a streamlined, automated workflow. It significantly reduced human error, improved audit accuracy, and provided leadership with clear, data-driven insights into inventory health.
