Project Overview ​We are looking for a highly detailed digital illustrator / retoucher with a sharp eye for line art to clean up and restore an AI-upscaled "Busy City" illustration (Where's Waldo style). ​The final graphic will be printed as a physical Jigsaw Puzzle at 8.5 x 11 inches, meaning players will inspect every single millimeter up close. Because AI upscaling created blurred edges, warped faces, and distorted small objects, we need a human expert to refine, repair, and perfect the entire image to ensure clean, flat-color vector-like print quality.Key Responsibilities & Tasks ​Character & Figure Restoration: ​Re-draw/clean up distorted small people, faces, hands, and bodies that merged or melted during upscaling. ​Maintain a simple, clean, consistent cartoon character style throughout. ​Object & Architectural Fixes: ​Fix distorted vehicles, boats, train tracks, windows, signs, and small props. ​Restore geometric symmetry and clean shapes for buildings and city elements. ​Crisp Line Art Cleanup: ​Convert wavy, blurry, or pixelated lines into sharp, consistent, clean outlines.​Typography & Text Replacement: ​Remove distorted AI text on signs, shopfronts, and banners. ​Replace with sharp, editable typography layers matching a precise text list (provided upon hire). ​Artifact Removal & Color Flatness: ​Eliminate noise, haloing, watercolor textures, and color bleeding created by the upscale tool. ​Ensure solid, flat colors using our strict palette: Navy/Blue, White, and Coral/Orange.Final Deliverables ​Source File: Fully organized, layered PSD / AI file with editable text layers. ​Print-Ready File: Flattened high-res file at 8.5 x 11 inches, 300 DPI, RGB/CMYK, with full bleed included (exact bleed specifications will be confirmed prior to kick-off). ​🎯 Requirements / What We Look For in Applications ​Proven portfolio demonstrating Line Art Cleanup, Vector/Illustration Retouching, or AI Image Polish. ​Exceptional attention to detail (must look crisp at 100%+ zoom). ​Clear communication and adherence to project deadlines. ​To Apply: Please share 2–3 relevant portfolio examples, your fixed quote for the project, and estimated turnaround time.
