Keeping the Halloween-inspired concepts coming! 🕯️✨
This time, we're sharing Ovelle — a luxury candle e-commerce website with warm tones, elegant typography, and a moody editorial aesthetic. Would love to hear your thoughts! 🎃
I draw logos by hand, then build everything around them: the brand, the website, the store. Lately I also make product films and ads with AI.
Recent work: an RY monogram and site for a Koreatown law firm, a winged W for a defense firm, and my family's golf eyewear brand, from the mascot to Shopify.
Starting a brand, or have one that doesn't feel like you yet? Show me what you're building.
The logo-led system reads tight because the wordmark sits clean in the negative space instead of fighting the emblem — when a brand has that kind of restraint, the Shopify store usually carries the same hierarchy into the product grid and checkout without inventing new rules....
How many concepts die in your drafts folder? 💀
In the spirit of Inktober, a digital sketch that never saw the light.
This was a lettering-inspired brandmark sketch playing with the letter K and the movement of hair. I archived it before presenting it. Not because I didn’t like it, but because I felt it wasn’t the right direction for that project.
This is how it would probably have looked, there are still things I’d want to refine.
Has it ever happened to you that you discard a concept even though you like it?
Love the idea of sharing concepts that never made it to the final stage! The K and hair movement is a really interesting direction. Do you usually revisit archived concepts later, or do you prefer to leave them behind?
