Designed this cover for a Gujarati–English bilingual dictionary for Oxford University Press, India
Gujarati is a language rooted in western India, and I wanted the cover to carry a sense of where it comes from. Instead of treating it as just a translation tool, I approached it as a cultural bridge.
The visual draws from Ajrakh, a traditional block-printing craft from the region, bringing in cultural identity and familiarity.
It felt important to represent the language not just through words, but through its context.
A language carries more than meaning—it carries years of culture, tradition, and a sense of place.
