If Customers Can't Find It, They Can't Buy It.
A WooCommerce store can have amazing products and still lose sales because the navigation is confusing.
Good eCommerce navigation should help customers answer one question quickly:
“Where do I go next?”
When designing a store, I focus on:
→ Clear product categories → Simple menus → Smart filtering → Search that actually helps → Logical product organization → Easy access to the cart → Consistent navigation on mobile
The goal isn't to show customers everything.
It's to help them find the right thing faster.
Less confusion. Less friction. Better shopping experience.
Great eCommerce UX doesn't make customers think—it helps them shop.
What makes you leave an online store: slow loading or confusing navigation?

Smart filtering and search are doing different jobs here: filtering narrows what the shopper already knows they want, search recovers the visit when they don't have the right words for it.

The “Where do I go next?” framing is exactly the right UX lens for commerce navigation. Clear categories plus smart filtering should reduce decision friction without making shoppers learn the store.
