I do think that the shiny text gives more information to the users, with the circle you can see the progress, but with the text you know what the app is doing. Still both look great! This is certainly an excellent job.

Good point! I guess the progress indicator would only be better if the wait were actually long enough to require reassuring the user 🧠 (which isn’t the case here).
