This is Sprock. Was moving half way across the world when the Rive X Contra #characterchallenge happened, so I made this in Rive as my late submission. Sprock can be a companion for a learning app, a guide to help you navigate a new app, or just a friend when you’re sad.

This is a menu for an interactive portfolio experience inspired by video game menus. Viewers can “play” a demo reel, view projects, and learn more about me. The design is a mix between Tron inspired aesthetics and tarot card visuals, hence the shimmers, gradients, and 3D card hover effect on each menu item. The idea is for the website itself to showcase my craft, not just the projects that will be shown in it, that’s why I added as many micro interactions and animations as I could into each page. Everything was made in Rive.

Pause is a place where you can do breathing exercises guided by satisfying and soothing animations. Simply choose which breathing exercise you want, then which animation you want to follow.
The idea came from my wife, she’s a 3rd grade teacher and she uses youtube videos for mindfulness moments with her students. So she challenged me to do something better than the videos she uses. Thanks babe :)
Everything was made entirely in Rive; design, animation, sound, interactions, flow. It’s all run by Rive’s State Machine.::
