Each day, the user can select genres and topics that align with their mood or situation. Categorizing movies and series not just by genre but also by topic helps users quickly find the right movie or series.
Netflix and the rest are algorithm-driven. What they're not good at is reading mood, or the fact that watching alone and watching with a partner call for completely different picks.

So I asked other people who love movies and shows whether they hit the same wall. Most of them said yes, and it frustrated them every time.
That's how Movy started: an app for finding something you'll actually enjoy, without the hour of scrolling first.
