🍿 Speaking about the branding of the app: the Movy logo is a metaphor for flipping through a list of movies, searching for the right one. It also echoes the main section on the Home screen, where users scroll through handpicked films.

Which flow seems more natural to you?
In the first option, the user opens the app and is offered a general selection of films. If the user wants to get unique recommendations, they can do so separately.
In the second option, the app first asks about current preferences and then offers personalized recommendations.

The obvious follow-up to -find a match- feature of my Movy app: what if two people's tastes don't overlap at all?
Which is fair, because that's the whole reason picking a movie together is hard. If your tastes already lined up, you wouldn't need the feature.
So the match works...
