One thing I didn't mention in my last post, the client of this project.
From the first call, they knew what they wanted but were open to being challenged on it. That combo is rare. We pushed back on a few design directions, they pushed back on ours, and what came out the other...
we just wrapped a full redesign, including dashboard, entire application, end to end.
they came to us with cluttered layouts, a SaaS aesthetic that felt heavy and outdated. the kind of ui that makes users feel like they're doing work just to navigate it.
we stripped it back...
