Meet OLLO — dog grooming that starts with the dog, not the calendar. 🐕
https://ollopetgrooming-demo.lovable.app/
For the Contra × Lovable booking challenge, I created OLLO, a fictional boutique grooming studio in Portland.
The problem: customers think they’re booking a service, but the studio actually needs to schedule a specific dog.
Size, coat, condition, temperament and grooming needs can all affect how long an appointment takes and which groomer is the right fit. A basic “service → time slot” flow leaves the owner figuring all of that out afterward.
OLLO does the qualifying before showing the calendar.
Tell it about your dog → it recommends the right service, estimates the appointment length, matches a suitable groomer, and only shows slots that can actually fit the job.
I also designed the follow-through: when a dog is due again, OLLO checks in automatically and offers suitable slots based on their previous appointment. No starting from scratch.
The goal: less back-and-forth for the studio, less guessing for the customer, and fewer mystery appointments on the calendar.
A bit about the process: rather than jumping straight into Build Mode, I used Lovable’s Plan Mode in stages:
01 Structure: planned the business, landing page and customer journey.
02 Logic: defined duration rules, service recommendations, groomer matching, availability and rebooking.
03 Build: created the visual direction and references, then art-directed the final experience in Build Mode.
Plan the experience → plan the logic → then make it beautiful.
Built with Lovable for the Contra × Lovable booking challenge.
Problem solved in one line: OLLO turns a vague grooming inquiry into a correctly scoped, realistically scheduled appointment — without the studio owner manually qualifying every booking. Cravly: Indulgence-first branding for functional snacks Everkynd: Skincare brand for sensitive skin MoD: Mood-led branding for functional beverages
