Strengthmaker started life as a native mobile app for personal strengths development and has grown into a full cross-platform ecosystem: a personal app for individuals and a web-based Studio for teams — both AI-native and built around a science-backed framework of 30 talent themes.

Working closely with Strengthmaker UG (Ulf Kossol), I led development end-to-end — from the initial mobile architecture and App Store / Play Store launch through to Strengthmaker Studio, a Next.js progressive web app now live in Open Beta. What began as a single-platform MVP is now an AI-native experience that follows users across mobile and web, and that reaches beyond individual growth into team and organizational development.

Strengthmaker helps people discover, develop, and live in their strengths. Users identify their top 30 talent themes through two assessment modes — a classic questionnaire and an AI-driven scenario test — then receive personalized development tips, strategies, and AI-guided coaching focused on their top five themes.

At the center of the experience is an always-available AI Companion (the "Stärken-Coach") that turns insight into a daily habit: weekly progress check-ins, points and badges, and conversational coaching that keeps people engaged with their strengths over time instead of forgetting them after a one-off test.

The new Strengthmaker Studio brings all of this to the browser as an installable progressive web app, and opens a second front: Studio for Teams, which applies the same strengths-based diagnostics to team and personnel development — giving organizations a shared language for how their people work best.

The original mobile MVP was built cross-platform with Flutter and FlutterFlow for rapid UI, Firebase for the real-time backend (authentication, Firestore, cloud functions, push notifications), and Kajabi for content and coaching-curriculum delivery — letting the client manage courses and engagement workflows without engineering dependencies.

The new Strengthmaker Studio is a modern web platform: a Next.js / React progressive web app — installable, offline-capable, and standalone — backed by Supabase for authentication, data, and storage. The AI Companion and AI scenario diagnostics are powered by LLM APIs (OpenAI / Gemini), making the coaching genuinely AI-native rather than scripted.

This evolution — a proven mobile foundation plus an AI-native web Studio — gives Strengthmaker one product ecosystem that scales from a single individual to an entire team, while keeping content fully in the client's hands.
