Amplenote × Creator Campaign

Turning a productivity tool into a creator-led proof of concept

Amplenote partnered with me to build and execute a creator marketing campaign from the ground up. The goal was to position the platform through authentic, functionality first storytelling that showed real use cases — not polished ads.
This campaign was built around one core question: Can creator-led content make a productivity tool feel unmissable to the right audience? The answer was yes.

Drive awareness and top-of-funnel interest among productivity and tech audiences
Generate authentic creator content demonstrating real Amplenote use cases
Build credibility within the developer and productivity creator community
Position Amplenote as the serious, feature-rich alternative to Notion for power users

Strategy and approach

1. Functionality-First Positioning
After reviewing the client's goals, I identified that the campaign needed a functionality-led angle, not lifestyle or aesthetic content. Amplenote's audience is skeptical of hype and responds to seeing a product actually work inside a real workflow. I built the entire campaign narrative around that.

2. Creator List Building
I built a curated creator list from scratch, researching and vetting creators across productivity, tech, and developer audiences. Selection was based on audience trust signals, content depth, and genuine alignment with Amplenote's power-user positioning — not vanity metrics. Tools used included Modash and Influencer Hero.

3. Outreach and Email Copywriting
I wrote and sent every creator outreach email personally. Each email was tailored to the creator — no copy-paste templates. I managed all replies, handled questions and negotiations, and moved confirmed creators through to briefing.

4. Brief Creation
I wrote structured creative briefs anchored to the functionality-first narrative. Each brief gave creators the context and key messages they needed while leaving room to integrate Amplenote naturally into their own content style. No over-scripting.

5. Campaign Built Inside Amplenote
I built the full campaign strategy framework directly inside Amplenote — using the product as my working tool throughout the project. This was a deliberate decision: strategy for a note app should live in the note app. It also gave the client a live proof point of the product doing exactly what it promises.

6. Tracking and Coordination
Managed creator timelines, content approvals, and deliverable tracking from activation through to completion. Maintained a central performance tracker logging creator details, content posted, and engagement results.

Full influencer marketing strategy built and delivered inside Amplenote. Covered competitive positioning, creator profile, platform rationale, content angle, and campaign phases.

Managed a massive creator database tracking hundreds of creators with multiple data points. This allowed quick prioritization, efficient onboarding, and seamless monitoring of creator progress, making the whole influencer program scalable and organized.

Researched and vetted creator database covering platform presence, average views, audience fit, content style, and contact details across productivity, tech, and developer verticals.

03 — Outreach Emails
Wrote and sent all creator outreach personally. Tailored per creator, managed full reply thread through to confirmation.

Structured creative briefs written for each confirmed creator. Functionality-first angle with creative freedom built in.
