What's VividTalent?

VividTalent is a Netherlands-based recruitment company that connects skilled professionals with companies hiring across IT, security, HR, marketing, and finance. They operate on a subscription model with direct access to decision-makers, positioning themselves as "insiders, not recruiters."
The company previously operated as ICT Helden, an identity that blended in with every other recruitment firm in the space. They needed a rebrand that matched how they actually work: personal, direct, and built on trust.

The Challenge

The rebrand had to accomplish three things:
Kill the generic recruiter look. ICT Helden's identity was indistinguishable from competitors. The new brand needed to stand apart in a crowded Dutch recruitment market.
Capture the self-actualization narrative. VividTalent doesn't just place people in jobs. They help professionals step into roles where they can grow. The brand had to communicate that personal development story.
Scale across digital and physical touchpoints. From LinkedIn to client presentations to the website, the identity system needed to hold up everywhere.

Phase One: Strategic Foundation

We started with the Why, What, and How, working directly with the co-founders to define VividTalent's strategic positioning and identify opportunities to reinforce the "insider, not recruiter" approach.
The strategic pillars we established:
Direct: Working with directors and key leaders, not through layers of bureaucracy.
Diverse: Empowering multicultural professionals to step into the spotlight.
Personal: Every interaction, whether with a client or candidate, should feel supportive and human.
Wide: Covering IT, security, HR, marketing, and finance with the right talent for each.
These pillars became the filter for every visual and verbal decision that followed.

Phase Two: Visual Exploration

With the strategy locked, we developed multiple concepts and presented 3 distinct directions to the co-founders. Each one told a different story about what VividTalent could look and feel like.

Concept 1: "Strong"

An abstract monogram representing the connection between leaders and skilled individuals. Modern, growth-oriented, with custom typography highlighting approachability.
Why it was rejected: The concept worked well on digital platforms and the client responded positively to the shade of blue (familiar in IT). But it wasn't capturing the personal, self-actualization narrative that needed to run through the brand. It read as "strong tech company," not "empowering people."

Concept 2: "Connection"

An abstract icon illustrating the relationships among directors, leaders, and professionals. Flowing colors representing harmonious processes and continuous growth.
Why it was rejected: The client liked the connection elements, but the concept lost its story at small scale. On a LinkedIn avatar or favicon, the meaning collapsed. And like the first concept, it didn't fully capture the self-actualization direction.

Concept 3: "Personal"

An abstract icon representing personal development and skill enhancement through direct communication. Minimal, clear, modern, with an emphasis on growth and accessibility.
The winner. The co-founders chose this direction because it complemented the personal and self-actualization narrative: empowering talent to build the future together. It read well at every scale, and the minimal design communicated clarity without losing warmth.
A modification was requested on the brand emblem to better represent the team and company overall, which was applied to produce the final mark.

Phase Three: Identity System

With the direction selected and refined, we built out the complete branded visual system: logo variations, color palette, typography, iconography, and comprehensive brand guidelines establishing the brand persona and identity.
See the full brand guideline here.

Phase Four: Digital Presence

The brand system was translated into VividTalent's live website at vividtalent.nl, creating a strong visual foundation that supported key talent acquisitions and capability expansion.
The site reinforces the "insider, not recruiter" positioning with direct access to decision-makers, transparent communication, and a flexible subscription model. Client testimonials from companies like Computest, Heeyoo, and OSP are front and center.

The Impact

All metrics are quarterly, reported directly by the client across multiple review sessions:
450% increase in new leads
53% increase in talent acquisition
211% increase in organic traffic
