Project Overview
Griot is an African-inspired soda brand based in the United States, created for a young audience of Gen Z and Millennials.
The client wanted the brand to carry African culture without feeling too ethnic, so the visual direction focuses on making it approachable and fun for an American market. I transformed traditional African mask motifs into cute, character-like icons and paired them with simple African-inspired patterns, giving the brand a playful vibe while keeping its cultural roots visible.
