Waypal

Find your ideal travel pals

Solo travel plans are great but sometimes planning a trip with other people is even better. In 2021, I helped actualize a client's idea by building one of the coolest travel web apps: Waypal.

Problem πŸ˜₯

The process of organizing or planning trips with people can be really tedious. Deciding on meeting points, picking vacation activities and ultimately funding the trip can take a lot of time and fun out of the trip experience.

Action 🎯

Waypal was built to make this process easy and seamless. On Waypal, you can create a trip, set itineraries for that trip, and finally, the cost everyone coming for the trip is expected to pay. This simplifies a lot of concerns around planning trips and vacations with friends or colleagues.

Why me? πŸ€”

I was chosen to work on this project because of the skillset and ideas I brought along with me. I helped the client in actualizing the idea and providing suggestions for UX improvements and worked tirelessly on the software making sure everything worked as expected. This includes coding out the UI, and connecting necessary APIs to fetch location data and process payments.

Summary πŸ“

Waypal created a community of people wanting to plan trips and travel together.
