A procurement-first store built to keep every door open. UndaTech needed their products in front of defence, government, and emergency services buyers long before a public launch, so I built them a Shopify store that works as a relationship tool today and a retail channel whenever they want it.
UndaTech is a start-up engineering fire-safe protective and performance undergarments for defence, government, first responders, and athletes. Their buyers are procurement leads, and procurement runs on trust built over time, not impulse purchases. The problem was visibility: without a credible place to show the products, there was nothing to point a potential buyer to, nothing to follow up a conversation with, and no way to keep the relationship warm between meetings. B2C might come later, or it might not, so the platform had to keep that door open without betting on it. Shopify was the right fit for exactly that reason.

Impact

The lift in visibility opened doors that didn't exist before. With a professional product presence to stand behind, UndaTech secured opportunities at expos and industry shows, putting their gear in front of the buyers they'd been trying to reach. The store now does the credibility work between conversations, and when the B2C moment arrives, the switch is a decision, not a rebuild.

My role as design partner and builder

UndaTech came in with deep product knowledge and limited design experience, so my job was part guide, part builder. I shaped how the products are structured and presented, wrote the messaging and copy to capture their buyers' attention, and set up a design system they can keep using without me. The Shopify build itself is deliberately scalable: extendable at any point, structured to grow with the catalogue, and built to keep technical debt low.
