Beta Read YA SciFi Manuscript, Reviewed Query Letter+Synopsis

I beta read a 61,000-word dystopian manuscript and completed my beta reader report that included overall notes on plot, character, style/voice, pacing, dialogue, setting, and POV. I also included specific page numbers and chapter summaries to suggest improvements, clarification, and better consistency.

I also reviewed the author's query letter and provided instruction on how to craft a thrilling summary without giving away the ending, using comp titles to sell the manuscript, and niching down the genre for maximum representation.

Lastly, I reviewed her synopsis and provided rewrites for it to showcase the overarching plot of the series in addition to the plot of the first title. I offered proofreading on the parts I didn't adjust and provided an overall breakdown of my changes at the end to help the author writing future synopses for the other titles in her series.
