Enter the Metaverse: An Augmented Reality Game

Enter the Metaverse is an augmented reality game we built at Fold as a growth experiment.

We always say we want to meet our users where they are, whether they are bitcoin maximalists or curious newbies. What better way to do that than to literally bring bitcoin to wherever they are?

I designed the UX experience and tested early and often with users and friends. I worked with 3D modelers to design the game assets, and collaborated closely with a Unity developer to bring the idea to life.

Fold cardholders are allowed to play once every 10 minutes, or how long it takes for each bitcoin block to be processed on the blockchain. Users can collect bitcoin in the world around them, giving physical shape to the concept, and making using a finance app fun.
