My article delves into the issue at both the national and global levels and highlights the importance of companies complying with as well as UNESCO's guidelines and corporate, social, and governance laws with their recent frameworks showcasing water risks metrics and sustainable measures they adopt to tackle water crisis issues.

To address the water crisis, the article advocates for sustainable water quality and resource management. In this regard, I introduced the concept of the Underwater Domain Awareness framework, developed by the Maritime Research Centre, which involves academic, political, technological interventions and multi-level stakeholder collaboration to mitigate water crisis issues.

Conducted a comprehensive literature review to explore the various factors contributing to the current water crisis. In my 1250-word article, I emphasized the importance of water availability, both in India and globally, and its significant usage in both the industrial and domestic sectors.

Further, discussed the potential negative impact of unregulated water usage on corporate businesses that are dependent, either directly or indirectly, on water availability.

The UDA framework proposed by Maritime Research Centre, Pune with its four-stakeholder approach assists socially responsible corporations in proactively understanding their business models, tracking and reporting their water usage, that could lead to stranded assets for themselves, communities, and the planet.

Furthermore, the article emphasizes that water is a resource shared by multiple end-users, and its risks will affect multiple users. Therefore, the proposed UDA framework shall navigate a synergy among corporates, political governance, regulatory frameworks, and academia to overcome anthropogenic challenges.
