Overview

This project focused on designing a warm, trust-building e-commerce experience for a baby essentials brand built for modern parents. The brand specializes in safe, BPA-free feeding products and baby care tools, with a strong emphasis on comfort, functionality, and child-friendly design. The overall direction combined soft visuals, playful UI elements, and clear product storytelling to make parents feel confident, calm, and supported while shopping.

Goal

The main objective was to build a highly optimized storefront that could:
Increase conversion rate by 180%
Boost average order value (AOV) by 150%
Improve mobile usability by 200%
Reduce checkout friction and abandoned carts by 55%

Challenges

One of the biggest challenges was balancing emotional trust with performance. The baby-care market requires a strong sense of safety, credibility, and clarity. High-quality lifestyle imagery slowed load times and affected mobile performance. Another challenge was structuring product pages to simplify decision-making for overwhelmed new parents while still showcasing product benefits clearly.

Solution / Outcome

I redesigned the experience with a “trust-first” layout strategy, integrating social proof, simplified product descriptions, and clear buying paths. I implemented optimized image delivery, card-based product discovery, and persuasive micro-copy that gently moved users from curiosity to checkout.
